LAURYN TERAMOTO
President
Lauryn is a fourth-year General Civil Engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona. She will be serving as President of the CPP ASCE Student Chapter for the 2026-2027 academic year. Lauryn has been involved with CPP ASCE since her first year, taking on positions such as Conference Chair, PSWS Logistics Coordinator, and Vice President, Internal. She has gained experience outside of the classroom through internships at various public and private companies, allowing her to broaden her knowledge of the civil engineering industry. Outside of her academics, Lauryn enjoys reading classic books, doing her own nails, and has recently taken up indoor and outdoor rock climbing.
JACELYN DILAY
Vice President, Internal
Jacelyn is a fourth-year general Civil Engineering student serving as Vice President, Internal for the CPP ASCE Student Chapter Social Events Chairs for the 2026-2027 academic year. In the previous years, she served as Social Events and Publicity Chair for the student chapter. She also served as Publicity Chair for the 2025 Pacific Southwest Symposium (PSWS), displaying her passion for promoting ASCE’s initiatives and fostering meaningful connections within the civil engineering community. She is committed to staying involved with ASCE throughout her college career, aspiring to make an impact on the community. Currently, Jacelyn is interested in transportation engineering and wishes to pursue a career within that field after college. ANTHONY DA SILVA
Treasurer
Anthony is a second-year general Civil Engineering Student at Cal Poly Pomona currently serving as ASCE student chapter’s treasurer. Last year, he was a First Year Representative, as he wished to be involved with his major early and join a community of like minded students. He is committed to staying involved with ASCE throughout his academic career and beyond in the hopes of giving back to the community, and helping future generations of students in their journeys. Secretary
Katey is a fourth-year general Civil Engineering student serving as Secretary for the CPP ASCE Student Chapter in the 2026-2027 academic year. Her favorite part about Civil Engineering is its ability to positively impact communities and improve people’s lives through meaningful projects. She is passionate about water resources as it plays a vital role in protecting public health and sustainable communities. She hopes to support all ASCE members while fostering a welcoming environment where everyone can grow professionally, build friendships, and make lasting memories. Joshua is a fourth-year general Civil Engineering student serving as the Chief of Staff for his student chapter ASCE. This is his second year as an ASCE officer after wanting to become more involved in Civil Engineering clubs and competitions. Having served as one of the Outreach and Community Service chairs, Joshua is especially excited to continue to serve the engineering community on campus, combining his passion for service with his career path in CE. Committing himself to ASCE, he also wishes to grow personally to greatly promote his passion for Civil Engineering to future students and to build meaningful connections with other members and professionals through CPP ASCE’s Student Chapter. Alumni Relations Chair
Khine Yee Mon Su is a fourth-year civil engineering student in the general civil engineering option serving as the 2026–2027 Alumni Relations Chair. She has been an active member of ASCE and has volunteered at several events, including the Civil Engineering Department Banquet and Career Fair, Civil Day, and the Annual Golf Tournament. Through her involvement, she has gained valuable experiences, developed professional and leadership skills, and built connections within the civil engineering community. She is passionate about structural engineering, and her goal is to become a successful structural engineer. In her free time, she enjoys trying new boba milk tea shops and restaurants, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family. RYAN OLSEN
Alumni Relations Chair
Ryan is a senior civil engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona and currently serves as the Alumni Relations Chair for the ASCE student chapter. Through his involvement in ASCE, Ryan has enjoyed building connections between students, alumni, and industry professionals while helping strengthen the professional network available to future engineers. Ryan is currently interning at N2W Engineering, where he continues to gain valuable hands-on experience in the engineering industry. His primary interest lies in structural engineering, and he enjoys learning how the concepts taught in the classroom are applied to real-world projects. As he approaches graduation, Ryan looks forward to further developing his technical knowledge and professional skills as he prepares for a career in the civil engineering field. Outside of academics and engineering, Ryan enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. You can often find him playing baseball, surfing, or golfing whenever he has free time. He values teamwork, continuous learning, and building meaningful relationships, all of which have contributed to his growth as both a student and future engineer. Ryan is excited to continue serving the Cal Poly Pomona ASCE community and helping create opportunities that support student success, professional development, and engagement within the civil engineering profession.

Conference Chair
Adrian Gonzalez is a third-year general civil engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona, and his first year on the ASCE board. Adrian is one of the two conference chairs for the 2026-2027 school year, and he is excited to be a part of the board. In his free time, he loves to spend it with friends and family as well as playing video games, reading, and listening to music. He is excited to meet all kinds of new people!

Trent Jurado is a third‑year Construction Engineering and Management student at Cal Poly Pomona and is excited to serve as the Social Events Chair for the 2026–2027 school year. He’s passionate about building community within CPP ASCE and creating events that bring members together outside of academics. Trent values teamwork, organization, and creativity — qualities he’s developed through leadership roles in ASB, his fraternity, and internship experience as a project engineer. RUBEN RIVERA
Professional Events Chair
Ruben is a fourth-year Civil Engineering student currently serving as one of the CPP ASCE Student Chapter Social Events Chairs for the 2024–2025 academic year. He is also involved with the 2025 Pacific Southwest Symposium (PSWS) as a Social Events Chair, where he contributes to planning engaging events that strengthen connections among Civil Engineering students from across the region. Through his leadership roles, Ruben has developed a strong appreciation for collaboration, community building, and active involvement within ASCE. He is motivated to remain engaged with the organization throughout his academic journey and hopes to make a lasting, positive impact on the Civil Engineering community. Academically, Ruben is interested in pursuing a career in Civil Engineering after graduation. Professional Events Chair
Alejandro is a fourth-year Civil Engineering student and will be serving as a CPP ASCE Professional Events Chair for the 2026-2027 academic year. He transferred from Mt. San Jacinto Community College last fall and will graduate in Spring 2027. Alejandro looks forward to making new connections and being involved on campus while being involved in ASCE and Concrete Canoe. As a Professional Events Chair, Alejandro is looking forward to organizing events with industry professionals, and assisting in the professional development of the Civil Engineering student body. Outreach & Community Service Chair
Joel is a third-year civil engineering student and will be serving as one of the outreach and community service chairs alongside Richie Do for the 2026-2027 academic year. He is a transfer student from Santiago Canyon College and he is hyped to be serving with this position so he can connect with other civil engineering students who are passionate about their major while serving the local community and bringing more people into this great industry. He enjoys many active hobbies like running, paddleboarding, hiking, and the works. Richie is a fourth-year Civil Engineering student and will be serving as a CPP ASCE Outreach and Community Service Chair for the 2026-2027 academic year. Nathan is a second-year Civil Engineering student, driven by a passion for designing resilient infrastructure and improving community mobility. This year, Nathan is thrilled to step into the role of Membership Chair. He looks forward to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and resource-rich community for members while growing the organization's reach. Academically and professionally, Nathan's interests are focused on structural engineering and transportation systems, and he is eager to explore how these two fields intersect to shape modern cities. TIMOTHY PENGSHUNG
Publicity Chair
Gavin is an incoming fourth-year Civil Engineering student serving as this year’s Outreach and Community Service Chair for the ASCE CPP Student Chapter. His involvement as a general member sparked a deeper interest in the field and helped him secure a Summer Associate position at Atkinson Construction, a subsidiary of Clark Group. There, he’s gained hands-on experience in quantity takeoffs, bid outreach, and plan analysis on multi-million dollar infrastructure projects including Brightline West & 91/57 Acacia. He looks forward to bringing this growing industry perspective into his role and contributing to impactful outreach efforts within the local community. Outside of engineering, he enjoys weightlifting, music festivals, and spending time outdoors.
MIA RAMOS
Publicity Chair
Mia is a second-year civil engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona and is excited to serve as one of the Publicity Chairs for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a first-year member of ASCE, she looks forward to promoting events, increasing student engagement, and learning from her peers while becoming more involved in the civil engineering community. She is especially interested in the construction side of civil engineering and hopes to continue gaining hands-on experience through internships and professional involvement. Banquet Chair
Tyler is a fifth-year civil engineering student with an emphasis on environmental engineering. This is his second year serving as a CPP ASCE officer, and he is excited to connect students and industry professionals through the CE Department Banquet and Job Fair. During his time at CPP, Tyler has served as Director of Technical Competitions for ASCE, Secretary and President of the California Water Environment Association - American Water Works Association (CWEA-AWWA) student chapter, and Water Quality Lead and Construction Team member for the PSWS Environmental Design Team. Giuseppe Lomiento, PH.D., PE
​​Giuseppe Lomiento is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he has been on the faculty since 2014. He previously served as a postdoctoral scholar in Structural Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and as a research affiliate at the Caltrans Seismic Response Modification Device Testing Facility and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His work focuses on experimental and analytical methods to improve the seismic performance of structures, including vibration-based structural health monitoring and response modification systems. Outside of engineering, he is passionate about philosophy, cooking, visual arts, and playing tennis.

Allan Y. Ng, PH.D., P.E.
Allan Ng, PLS, is a professional practice professor at Cal Poly Pomona, Civil Engineering Department and a licensed land surveyor in California. He teaches courses including Introduction to Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Satellite Surveying in Engineering, Photogrammetry, Subdivision Engineering and Legal Descriptions, Digital Mapping, California Land and Boundaries Law and consults in land survey and land development projects. Professor Ng is the coordinator for surveying laboratory and multiple geospatial engineering courses. Professor Ng’s research interests lie in the integration of technologies within geospatial engineering education; laser scanning models integration with Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Twin and application in virtual/mixed reality. Professor Ng is a past executive committee member of ASCE UESI Surveying & Geomatics Division; co-chair of the ASCE UESI Surveying Competition committee and member of FIG Commission 6, working group 6.3, Applications of immersive technologies in Engineering Geodesy. Professor Ng is also a co-editor for ASCE Manual of Practice 152, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering: Principles, Technologies and Applications.

Seema Shah-Fairbank, PH.D., P.E.
Seema C. Shah-Fairbank is a professor of civil engineering at Cal Poly Pomona. She teaches courses in general civil engineering, fluids, hydraulics, hydrology, and environmental engineering. Dr. Fairbank served as the 2020-2021 ASCE LA Section President and has been the faculty advisor for CPP ASCE Student Chapter for 12 years. Her specialization is in sediment transport and river mechanics. During her free time, Dr. Fairbank loves to paint, hike, and volunteer in her community.
