CPP ASCE Student Chapter is looking for next year's elected and appointed officer board for the 2021- 2022 school year! Becoming an officer is a great way to grow personally and professionally, expand your knowledge of ASCE, and create relationships that will last a lifetime. Below are the positions currently open for our Student Chapter.

Elected Positions (Applications due by the extended deadline at 11:59 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021)

  • President

  • Vice President, Internal

  • Vice President, External

  • Treasurer

  • Secretary

Appointed Positions (Applications due by  11:59 pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021)

  • Alumni Relations Chairs

  • Conference Chairs

  • Event Chairs (Professional and Social)

  • Membership Chair

  • Outreach and Community Service Chairs

  • Publicity Chairs

Application, Questionnaire and Resume
Completed applications with questionnaires and resumes are due in PDF format and are to be submitted via email to the CPP ASCE President, Colby Wong at cppasce.president@gmail.com. Please title your application and email subject line “ASCE Officer Application - FirstName LastName”.

Unofficial Transcripts
Unofficial Transcripts are due in PDF format and are to be submitted via email to the Faculty Advisor, Dr. Seema C. Shah-Fairbank at shahfairbank@cpp.edu by the corresponding date listed below. Please title your transcript and email subject line “ASCE Unofficial Transcript - FirstName LastName”.

Video Recordings
Those running for an elected position must also provide a video recording of up to 3 minutes stating why they are most qualified for the position. Video recordings are to be shot horizontally, in .mp4 or .mov format, and submitted via a shareable link through Google Drive to the CPP ASCE President, Colby Wong at cppasce.president@gmail.com. Please title your video “ASCE Candidate Video - FirstName LastName”. For tips and tricks on how to film professional videos at home, please click here.

Please make sure to submit the Officer Application, questionnaire, resume, video and unofficial transcript by the listed dates above. All important dates can be found in the attached application. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted and will disqualify candidates from running.

ASCE Membership

You must be an ASCE member to be eligible for any position on the board. If you are not currently a paid member and still want to apply please contact our Membership Chair, Steven Nguyen at cppasce.membership@gmail.com. All dues and forms must be submitted before the application deadline.

Are you a First-Year Freshman or Transfer student and want to get more involved with ASCE? Complete the application below to apply for our First-Year Representative Position. This is a great way to improve your leadership, planning and communication skills while getting involved with CPP ASCE.

Applications are due to Colby Wong at cppasce.president@gmail.com on Thursday, September 24, 2020 by 5 PM.


First-Year Representative Candidates will be interviewed and appointed at a date, place and time in the Fall Semester 2021 determined by the Executive Board.

Voting Period: 7 AM on Thursday, March 26 through 11:59 PM on Friday, March 27

  • Personal Statement and Headshot - New Requirement

    • Elections will take place online using candidate personal statements of 200 words or less

    • Sample Candidate Statements and Headshots can be seen from the ASI Elections here

  • Nominations will take place at ASCE’s 11th General Meeting on Thursday, March 12 during U-Hour in 15-1807 OR can submitted via email with a completed application by March 25, 2020

Appointed Positions

Please make sure to submit the following by 11:59 pm on Friday, April 17, 2020:

  • Unofficial Transcript

  • Complete Officer Application (Application Form, Questionnaire and Resume)

  • Interviews will take place on a time to be determined on Saturday, April 25, 2020

    • Interviews will be conducted via Zoom calls
